The short version. The dashboards are free to browse and collect nothing personal. If you create an account, we keep your email and the profile you choose to share, we remember your conversations with Dorothy, and we study usage patterns in aggregate to make Spark better. We do not sell your information, and you can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
When you sign up: your email address, your name if you provide it, and what you tell us about your role and organization. As you use Spark: the questions you ask Dorothy, which dashboards you view, and when you hit usage limits.
How we use it
To run your account, to answer your questions, and to understand what our users need. When we analyze usage for research or share findings, personal identifiers are removed first. If you opted in to updates, we use your email to send them through our email provider. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the product is used, through heatmaps and session recordings. All text and inputs are masked in those recordings, so your questions to Dorothy and anything you upload never appear in them.
What Spark's data contains
Every figure Spark shows comes from public government sources such as the Census Bureau, USDA, HUD, and the VA. This is aggregate community data. It contains no information about individual people, and we never combine it with personal records.
Deleting your account
Go to your account page and choose Delete my account. That removes your profile, your conversations, and your sign-in. Aggregate statistics that no longer identify you may be retained.
